Over the coming weeks we’ll be updating all our clients websites to the latest version of WordPress (WordPress 3.6). If you currently have a WordPress Hosting plan with JamJo that means you. If you are not currently availing of our WordPress hosting service (hosting, support and maintenance) then head on over here for more details.
What’s Involved?
Over the coming weeks we’ll be backing up your entire website and database before updating the WordPress core. We’ll then test all installed plugins to make sure they run seamlessly with the new update. We’ll also test the website for any bugs and squash them as we see find the little critters.
What Do I have to Do?
Relax and enjoy your WordPress powered website! We’ll take care of the updates here on our end and prepare for the next set of updates to the WordPress core. WordPress 3.7 and WordPress 3.8 will be released before the end of 2013. We’ll keep you posted on updates.
What’s New in WordPress 3.6?
- UI improvements
- Revisions revised to be more dynamic and scalable
- Autosave and Post Locking
- Preview Audio and Video on Media Edit Screen
